CONTACT Community Services is hosting our 3^rd Annual Grand Parade fundraiser on September 20, 2025 in Alliston, Bradford and Collingwood. The Grand Parade is a community initiative that raises much needed funds dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable seniors in our community.
By supporting The Grand Parade, you will assist seniors just like Rodger:
When we met Rodger, he was nearly 60 and living in a tent in Innisfil during the coldest winter months. He called it a “living hell”—sleeping in the snow, going days without food, and sharing scraps with his only companions, two raccoons and a skunk.

Then he met a Housing Access Worker from CONTACT Community Services.

Thanks to donors like you and support from The Grand Parade, CONTACT helped Rodger connect with support services and reconnect with family. Later, he was brought into our Supportive Rapid Rehousing Program (SRRP) in Collingwood.

Just days after arriving, he was rushed to the hospital with a serious heart condition—one that would have taken his life if he were still out in the cold.

Today, with CONTACT’s support, Rodger is rebuilding – he is safe, healing, and living in his own apartment in Simcoe County. He says the team at CONTACT “literally saved my life.”

But there are more seniors like Rodger still out there.
The Grand Parade is a national team fundraising event that brings together community leaders, government officials, local businesses, and families to walk together in support of our local seniors.106 Your support and participation in The Grand Parade helps ensure vulnerable seniors in our community aren’t forgotten – offering safety, dignity, and hope.
