About CONTACT Community Services
A growing need for critical services
For more than 40 years, CONTACT Community Services has proudly served the communities of South Simcoe. Everything we do starts from a place that honours dignity, respect, and confidentiality.
Today, our services are in high demand. Vulnerable individuals and families in South Simcoe are facing enormous pressures. Through lockdowns, job losses, and health crises, the pandemic has underscored and intensified these challenges. Shared vulnerability helps us see our common humanity. No one can do it alone. We need to rally together and offer the resources to begin again. This is collective resilience.
We’re working harder than ever to meet our community’s needs. Will you join us?

Responding to local needs with local solutions
Responding to community needs with innovative solutions is part of CONTACT’s grassroots.
In 1977, in response to a survey that revealed a profound lack of support agencies in the area, a small group of dedicated South Simcoe community members established CONTACT Community Services, providing free information and referrals, friendly call services to isolated seniors, and an informal listening ear for anyone needing help.
Over the next few years, CONTACT gained momentum, establishing a walk-in Community Information Centre in downtown Alliston, launching a job board and resume collection service, and opening The Clothes Line, an affordable community thrift store.
After over 40 years of service, CONTACT remains an active, innovative, and responsive community leader. Today, we have a community office in Alliston, an employment office (with housing support) in Bradford, and community thrift stores in two locations. Our team, our partners, and our volunteers continue to fill critical gaps in South Simcoe.
